Walter- I have some just like this in my yard! The ones in the sun are blooming already, but the shadier locations will be a few more days.

Ooooh, I love this one! (And the idea for this blog itself–lovely!)
My favorite part is the teeny tiny blue tip juuuuust peeking out of the rightmost middle stalk.
This would be fun for a very long time-lapse setup. Maybe three days?

Thank you all. These irises were here 24 years ago, when Vicky and I bought the house. They are spectacular when they bloom. I promise I shall photograph them again.
