Thank you all. These irises were here 24 years ago, when Vicky and I bought the house. They are spectacular when they bloom. I promise I shall photograph them again.

About the Photographs
These photographs are equivalent to sketches or studies.
In photographic terms, they are "proofs" and not finished work.
Some will be good, some, not so hot.
I may work some of them into finished art. We'll see.

For Sale?
Yes. If you can be content with an archival quality 5x7 proof, printed in full art-photograph resolution, on excellent photographic paper, I would be happy to send you one for US$12.50, postage paid within the USA.
If you'd like to own a proof, printed especially for you, please email:
telling me the number and/or title of the work you'd like to own.
I will bill you via Paypal, but you don't need a Paypal account.
Your usual credit card is plenty fine.
Your proof will be ready-to-frame. It will not have the copyright notice printed within the image area, as you see here. Instead, it will be in small, on the white margin.

Walter- I have some just like this in my yard! The ones in the sun are blooming already, but the shadier locations will be a few more days.

Ooooh, I love this one! (And the idea for this blog itself–lovely!)
My favorite part is the teeny tiny blue tip juuuuust peeking out of the rightmost middle stalk.
This would be fun for a very long time-lapse setup. Maybe three days?

Gorgeous, Walt! Reminds me of Louise Gluck’s poem, Wild Iris. Do you know it?

Love the ‘peek-a-boo’ tip of the Iris.
